Role and responsibilities

In the role of Project Engineer with us, you will be part of ABB Process Industries where you, together with project managers and other engineering colleagues, work on delivery projects to customers in automation and electrical power, based primarily on ABB's market-leading DCS platform 800xA. To meet the demand from our customers in northern Sweden, Process industries is expanding its operations. You will be responsible for the technical coordination and participate in all phases of the project together with the project team. You will work closely with our customers and participate in project and technical meetings and site visits. In addition, you will work with the purchasing department and have direct dialog with subcontractors to ensure that the right technical solution is developed. You also share ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means you are risk-aware and take responsibility for your own actions while being accountable to your colleagues and the business. Location is at our office in Skellefteå.

  • Responsible for technical coordination through all phases of the project, from idea to aftermarket support. This includes ensuring that all technical aspects of the project are in line with specifications, standards and safety requirements.
  • Participate in the delivery of projects, including system set-up, programming, testing and documentation. You will work on integrating and verifying systems to ensure they function correctly and meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with customers and participate in project and technical meetings as well as site visits. This involves understanding customer needs and ensuring that solutions meet their requirements and expectations.
  • Working with the purchasing department and subcontractors to ensure technical solutions. This includes attending FAT/testing in factory before delivery to ensure that everything is in order and meets the technical specifications.

Your background

  • We are looking for you who are a University engineer or Civil engineer or equivalent professional experience.
  • It is meritorious with knowledge of System 800xA, application, system installation and upgrades, also knowledge and interest in industrial OT / IT.
  • Knowledge in electrical design and instrumentation as well as in construction law and finance is an advantage.
  • You are a driven person who thrives in a role where you are self-driven and can take responsibility and initiative.
  • You have good collaboration skills and are used to working in teams, are goal-oriented and communicative. As a person, you put the customer in focus and have the ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.
  • You speak and write in Swedish and English fluently.
  • You have a B driving license as travel in the service occurs.
