The management work is imbued with collaboration, a holistic view and effective resource utilization. Through good planning, the administration contributes to an attractive living environment that is long-term sustainable from an ecological as well as a social and economic point of view. The community building administration consists of the following areas of activity; Physical planning, Water, sewage and waste, Streets, park and forest and Real estate, Environment and construction. The unit for Projects and investment drives and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments. Within Physical planning there are four working groups, Land & Exploitation, Analysis GIS/MBK, Detailed Planning and Overview Planning. The unit has a unit manager and about 20 employees who work in a broad field that includes GIS/GIT, statistics, surveying and map supply, statistics, overview and detailed planning, land and development issues and overall environmental issues. Everyone is involved in different ways in various planning and community building processes. Politically, the municipal board is responsible for the unit's activities. WORK DUTIES As head of unit, you are responsible for and follow up the ongoing operations regarding quality goals, laws, regulations and routines, resource and competence provision and business development. You have full personnel, budget and operational responsibility for the unit. You manage relationships, create and deliver results, adhere to frameworks, rules and work to keep the unit's budget. Your everyday life is very much about the good meeting, communication and dialogue with employees, citizens, politicians as well as internal and external networks and partners. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships and build a climate of trust that provides good conditions for collaboration, both internally and externally. To be successful in your assignment requires long-term perspective and analytical work. The work-intensive period that the unit is facing requires clear leadership and the courage to be able to make uncomfortable decisions as well. A well-developed ability to communicate clearly and to be able to adapt messages based on the target group are also important qualities that the position requires. You have a clear focus on good coordination and cooperation both within the administration and with other parts of the municipal organization You report to the Head of Administration and are part of his management team. QUALIFICATIONS You have an academic education that is relevant to the position or education combined with professional experience that is considered equivalent. Post-secondary education in law is meritorious. You have a few years of leadership experience and we see it as meritorious if you have experience in the area of ​​operations as well as knowledge in budget work and an understanding of the requirements set in a politically controlled organization. As a manager, you are confident in your role, communicative and have a professional approach, and think it is important to create a good working environment. You find it easy to collaborate and create good relationships at all levels. You are expected to see your area of ​​responsibility in a larger context and be a good representative of the business. Flexibility and responsibility are a matter of course for you, as is the ability to lead and motivate your employees, create commitment and participation.
