Your role:

Our one maintenance manager is moving on to new challenges in Garpenberg and we are now looking for his successor.

As a UH leader, you have the task of ensuring that the weekly plan for preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out and that the working method follows the maintenance process. You manage the work in the workshop based on a weekly plan developed and resourced by your colleagues, the planner and the team leader. In the role, you are also responsible for the management of deviations from the weekly plan and as support for mechanics in prioritization and technical issues. As a UH leader, you are expected to work with continuous improvements and through that contribute to increased operational reliability.

The maintenance leader interacts with many different contact areas both internally and externally and you have an important role together with the group managers to carry the operational responsibility for the maintenance of our mobile machines. The role does not involve employer responsibilities.

The position is a permanent position with full-time shift work underground in Garpenberg. The shift is 7-7 day: Work (Tues-Mond) then one week off (Tues-Mond). Travel may occur in the service. Probationary period may apply.

Your team:

The role reports directly to the Underground Maintenance Manager. You are two maintenance managers and two group leaders for the mechanics on mobile machines. The mechanics group consists of 35 mechanics divided into two shifts. The entire underground maintenance section recently became 100 employees and the machine park consists of about 100 mining machines.

Your tasks:

  • Ensure weekly plan regarding preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Ensure that the working methods follow the maintenance process
  • Manage the work in the workshop based on the weekly plan
  • Responsibility for handling deviations against the weekly plan
  • Support the mechanics in priorities and technical issues
  • Develop and improve the work towards increased operational safety
  • Collaboration with internal and external parties
  • Collaboration with the team leaders

Your contribution:

As a person, you are driven, humble, safety conscious and have the ability to lead people. You have the courage to prioritize, be structured and have patience when unforeseen events and changes occur. Collaborating with others and interacting with different stakeholders both internally and externally comes naturally to you. As you have large contact areas, good communication skills, both in Swedish and English, are of great importance.

We see that you have:

  • High school education with a technical focus
  • Very good machine knowledge of heavy vehicles
  • Good knowledge of the maintenance process
  • B driving license
  • Good computer skills

Additional is

  • Experience in leading people
  • Experience working with UH systems, such as Maximo
  • Experience working in industry.
