Description of activities

Maria Preschool is located in central Gällivare close to the library, swimming pool and museum. Maria preschool has organized the activities in age-divided groups. The preschool consists of 2 buildings with separate courtyards. In one building there are 3 departments with children aged 1-2 years. In the other building there are 5 departments with children in age-divided groups aged 3-5 years. At Maria preschool, we work in 3, 4, and 5-year-old groups, which means that the teams collaborate across the departments and give the children the opportunity to explore and discover different learning environments.

The children's own interests and abilities guide our activities, which promotes the opportunity for our educators to work with research together with the children. The preschool has flexible teams that work together for collegial learning

Tasks

Working as a resource means that you will be another person in the team so that the preschool can meet children with special needs. You are part of the team at the preschool and together you design a safe, stimulating and developing education and learning environment for the children where the curriculum (Lpfö18) describes the work and education that the preschool offers the children. Together, the team designs the education so that children in need of special support receive the support and challenges they need in their development, and that they are stimulated and developed in their play and in their learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained childcare workers and who have experience of working with disabilities and of meeting children with special needs.

It is important:

• that you are familiar with our governing document, the Curriculum for Preschool (Lpfö18),
• that you are a confident and clear leader, have the ability to take your own initiative, are positive and have faith in the children's different competencies,
• that you are concerned about trusting relationships with children and guardians and that you have good collaboration skills,
• that you have competence in TAKK (sign as alternative supplementary communication) and image support.
• great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
