Business description

Tallbackaskolan is a F-6 school with about 300 students as well as an after-school department and two preparatory classes, located in a residential area between Gällivare and Malmberget. At Tallbackaskolan we work with parts of the Gällivare model, which means that in each class in grades 1-2 there is a teacher responsible for teaching and a class mentor. In grades 3-6, a teacher responsible for teaching works with the support of a class mentor who may be attached to one or more classes. The central student health service is located at the school and students have access to a school counselor, school nurse, 2 special educators, school psychologist and the principals. The after-school program is a complement to the school where students' abilities are developed through various forms of expression and based on students' interests.

Duties

A house substitute's mission is to step in and substitute for absent staff at school, for example as a teacher, student assistant or class mentor. You are usually based on a completed lesson plan and the assignment is very varied. You will cover absences in primary or middle school. Primarily, you will substitute at the primary school in the mornings. As a house substitute, you also work in the afternoons at the after-school center.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with at least upper secondary education and meritorious is to have worked with children / students in different contexts. We are looking for you who are flexible and have a present and responsive approach to the different needs of students, are a clear leader and have good collaboration skills. You are independent, responsible and easy to take your own initiative.

Strong emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

For employment, an extract from the police's criminal record is required.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent employment. Probationary period may apply.
