Description of the workplace:

We are looking for a new colleague who wants to help solve Nav's social mission. Are you committed and motivated to work with young people? Do you see work as health-promoting and believe in the individual's resources? Then this is a position for you.

The position is currently located in the department Obtaining work under 30. As a counselor with us, you will be an important supporter of young people between the ages of 16 and 30. You will be responsible for following up and helping them on their way to education, work or other activities. It's important that you're flexible and available, and enjoy an unpredictable working day. You must enjoy both working in the field among employers, but also solving case management tasks.

Nav Gjøvik is centrally located in new and modern premises in Parkgata. We are over 100 employees who are organized into 5 departments. The departments work interdisciplinary and holistically based on the needs of each individual user. Tasks:
  • Individual and comprehensive follow-up of young people aged 16-30 in line with the youth guarantee
  • Map, guide and motivate young people with different backgrounds and different challenges
  • Implement and follow up measures that help more young people get a job or education
  • Collaborate closely with employers, schools, healthcare, child welfare and other relevant actors
  • Ensure quality, continuity and good coordination in the follow-up
  • Provide information, advice and guidance on state and municipal regulations, as well as case processing in Nav's professional systems in line with current legislation
  • Participate in the operation of the job center during our opening hours
  • Contribute to professional development and to a good learning environment in the office

Nav is an organization in constant development, and this may result in changes in work tasks and departmental affiliation.

Qualifications:
  • Completed 3 years of higher education equivalent to a bachelor's degree. A bachelor's degree in social work, child welfare or social sciences is desirable
  • Competence and experience from counseling and relationship work
  • Relevant experience from working with young people
  • Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Good digital skills. You must also be able to guide others in the use of digital solutions
  • Good written and oral communication skills
It is desirable that you have
  • Knowledge of the labor market and work inclusion
  • Knowledge of the education system
  • Experience in the use of legislation
Personal qualities:
  • Robust and confident in dealing with people in demanding situations
  • Flexible and able to handle unpredictability
  • Good work capacity and implementation ability
  • Structured and systematic
