We are looking for a committed and experienced construction manager for our plant maintenance team at the LKAB refinery in Svappavaara.

LKAB's open-pit mines are located in Svappavaara, four miles southeast of Kiruna. In these open pits, we loosen iron ore and waste rock by drilling and blasting, and then load, crush and sow the ore into a raw material for pellet production. Your role

As a construction manager, you will play a central role in the planning, preparation and execution of maintenance work. You are responsible for operational plant maintenance of buildings belonging to our pellet and enrichment plants and associated buildings. Your everyday life as a construction manager:

  • Execution of urgent and remedial maintenance work
  • Preparation, execution and follow-up of work according to maintenance plans
  • Planning and preparation of work orders
  • Responsibility to ensure a safe and secure working environment
  • Management of the operational work mainly for suppliers
  • Close collaboration with maintenance engineer/technician regarding work distribution
  • Reporting of completed work to maintenance engineer/technician

The work will take place in close collaboration with other functions in the business. You report directly to the group manager for plant safety.

You have this with you

  • Good knowledge, experience of building maintenance and construction work
  • Secondary education
  • Experience of handling both emergency and planned maintenance work
  • You master the Swedish language in speech and writing
  • B driving license

You thrive in a role that involves working both independently and in a team. You are responsible, committed and attach great importance to work environment and safety issues. You have good problem solving skills and a proactive approach. As the position requires a lot of cooperation, you are expected to have a good ability to communicate, build relationships and meet other people.
