LKAB's department for Community Transformation in Kiruna is tasked with securing land access to secure LKAB's mining operations and growth plans in Kiruna. The department is responsible for the entire process of securing land, from the development of new areas for replacement housing to the settlement and finishing of land within the settlement area.

About the service

We are now looking for a committed and responsible head of department for Community Transformation in Kiruna. In the role of head of department, you have a central role in an exciting and dynamic business. The position involves strategically developing and leading the business within the overall mission. Within the overall areas of responsibility, you ensure that the department follows set guidelines and completes the assignment within the allotted time.

As a manager and leader, you are expected to inspire, motivate and develop your employees and promote good relationships both internally and externally. In addition to this, you of course also have operational, personnel and budget responsibility. The role includes collaboration both internally within LKAB and with external actors and authorities.

The department is divided into three sections which are Transformation, Projects and Transactions, where each section has a directly reporting section manager. In total, the department consists of approximately 30 employees.

In the role, you are part of Samhällsomvandlingen's management team and report to the head of unit for LKAB Samhällsomvandlingen.

You have this with you

As the manager responsible for the social transformation Kiruna, you have many contact points and it is therefore required that you are good at communicating and possess very good cooperation skills. You are a confident, committed and present leader who motivates those around you through your way of acting.

A sense of purpose and drive is a basic prerequisite for being successful in the role of head of department. You need to be able to drive processes forward independently and in a structured manner, and you are expected to have an innovative and pragmatic approach with a focus on delivery of Samhällsomvandlingen's overall mission. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

We expect you have

  • Managerial experience
  • University or college education, preferably with a technical, land/environmental or civil engineering focus, or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways
  • Experience from civil engineering and the property industry with a good understanding of municipal processes
  • B driving license
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Experience from negotiation, planning and construction law and/or law is advantageous but not a requirement

Station location for the service is Kiruna.
