LKAB processing Kiruna

Kiruna Ore Processing's mission is to process the ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are screening, enrichment and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process and the other four are support sections in quality, technology and process development, material processes and Water and Dams. Your role

You will be working with maintenance development and problem solving in our Kulsinterverk KK2 and KK3. The work includes both remedial methods and preventive/strategic maintenance. Central is to constantly improve, develop and streamline the section's areas and facilities to reduce the length of disruptions and the number of disruptions caused by automation problems.

The tasks essentially consist of:

  • Leading and planning the strategic development of maintenance in automation.
  • Networking with external and internal competences.
  • Being involved in budget planning, monitoring long-term investment needs and preparing future investments.
  • Leading and participating in improvement teams.
  • To continuously identify, analyze data and solve problems in the field of automation.
  • Act as technical support for maintenance teams in other sections
  • Cooperating with the automation teams in other sections
  • To be responsible for developing maintenance plans for the automation area
  • Prioritizing and coordinating maintenance activities at an overall level.
  • The work involves close cooperation within the automation group, PC, planning, systems and the automation technicians.
  • The ability to work in teams should feel both natural and important to you.

Meritorious for the position is a college or university education in automation, systems and control engineering, or equivalent experience, for example in programming, electricity/automation, process control or IT with a focus on programming. Knowledge of process control systems, experience in automation and previous work with LKAB processes is also advantageous.

For the service is required:

  • Passed high school grades in electricity
  • B-driving license
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing
