Mine planning at LKAB in Malmberget is looking for an operational geologist for underground and core mapping. Increasing demands for knowledge about the properties of the rock mass mean that we need geologists with experience in rock type and structural geological mapping. In addition to mapping, it may become possible to work with geological interpretation and participation in project work. You will work in a small tight-knit group where the demands on cooperation, responsibility and accuracy are high. Solo work occurs and you work in close collaboration with our mining geologists and rock mechanics. Training can be arranged if needed, LKAB also has a wide range of internal training. Among other things, you will work with Deswik (CAD for underground mapping) and acQuire (database and core mapping software), therefore previous experience with these software is advantageous.

We are looking for you who have a university education with at least a bachelor's degree in geology, alternatively engineering geologist or equivalent. We are happy to see newly graduated geologists as applicants for the position. You must master Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Work in mining is meritorious.

Driving license B is a requirement. The service includes driving in the mine underground.

Form of employment: permanent employment, with potential trial employment for 6 months.

Working hours: underground shift.
