We are now looking for a Section Manager who will be responsible for the plant - a key role in our quest for a fossil-free and sustainable mining and steel industry. As a Section Manager at our sponge iron plant, you will be involved from the start and build the structure for how we will manage the operation and production of fossil-free sponge iron. You will shape an organization with the right skills and create clear working methods and processes, so that we are ready to operate the plant safely and efficiently when the sponge iron plant is completed towards the end of 2027. In the long term, you will have grown your organization to 40 - 60 employees.
In the role, the responsibility extends over production, work environment, safety and finance. Work environment and safety are of the utmost importance, and you will continuously ensure that all environmental laws and regulations are complied with, as well as train and inform subordinate staff in environmental and working time issues. You will also work closely with the project organization building the facility to both create good conditions for project implementation and ensure that the facility is designed according to our needs.
To succeed as a section manager, it is important that you have several years of management experience and that you are motivated by working in a role that requires innovation, problem solving and the ability to lead and inspire others. We also look for you to have:
A university or civil engineering degree
Have had responsibility for production or work environment/safety
A structured approach and the ability to collaborate and interact at all levels
The following is not a requirement, but it is an advantage if you have:
Experience in metallurgy, maintenance or ATEX environment
Experience in building organizations and/or developing new processes
Previous experience in the process industry
