We have an 80% temporary position available as SFO Manager at Torpa Primary and Lower Secondary School. The position is a combined role as SFO Manager and Child and Youth Worker.

The position is located at Torpa in Nordre Land Municipality and runs from February 1st, 2026 to January 31st, 2027.

The SFO Manager role involves professional leadership of the after-school program and responsibility for administrative tasks, while the Child and Youth Worker role consists of working hours at the intermediate level.

We are looking for someone who is professionally committed, independent, and skilled - someone who wishes to lead work that promotes the best interests of children.

 

Work Tasks

As SFO Manager, you will have responsibility for the professional operation of the after-school program, including:

  • Leading, organizing, and coordinating various activities

  • Ensuring the quality and safety of the SFO in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, curriculum frameworks, and financial guidelines

Additional operational duties include:

  • Planning and participating in daily work and activities with the children, both indoors and outdoors

  • Attending coordination meetings with the principal, teachers, assistants, and child and youth workers

  • Handling purchases

  • Managing invoicing

The temporary position also includes working hours as a Child and Youth Worker at the intermediate level.

 

Qualifications and Desired Experience

  • Education as a preschool teacher, general teacher, or child welfare educator

  • Equivalent university or college education may be considered if relevant

  • Experience working with children

  • Experience with administrative tasks
