DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As Head of Unit, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management as well as the human resources, work environment, budget and operational coordination of your unit. This includes supporting supervisors and administrative staff so that they can focus on their tasks and develop in their roles. You will drive the development of both the social work and operational missions and work to ensure that your unit takes the necessary steps from the current situation to future goals. You do this through strategic collaboration, co-creation and effective use of skills. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will be part of the Solkraft Management Team, where you will contribute to leading the development of the business and addressing challenges in line with the overall objectives of the Social Board and the department. In the management team, you work to ensure that collaboration works, including across operational and organizational boundaries, to succeed in our mission. By deploying resources where they will do the most good, you will ensure that we can make a difference for those we serve. You lead with a close and coaching leadership, where you show trust and flexibility. You are sensitive to the needs of supervisors to succeed in their tasks. Your role includes managing the work environment, including planning, implementation, convening and risk assessment in collaboration with trade unions. You will have a deputy manager at your side to support you in matters relating to work environment management, training for participants and handling participant cases. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a university education or education that is deemed appropriate based on the assignment. It is an advantage if you have experience linked to labor market measures and work with individuals who are far from the labor market. You have experience as a manager or supervisor where you have been responsible for personnel issues, finances, quality and work environment issues. We also see that you have leadership experience based on a present and coaching approach and ensure that goals, mandates and tasks are clear to your employees, by adapting your communication to the target group and situation, with the aim of effectively achieving the goals of the business. You are a team player who can take your own decisions and initiatives when the situation requires it. A prerequisite for success in this role is that you can strategically drive change in your leadership, using a methodical and systematic approach that clarifies priorities and efficient allocation of resources. As quality assurance of cases is included, you need to have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Skellefteå municipality is a Finnish and Sami administrative municipality, so it is an advantage if you speak Finnish or Sami. OTHER The Social Office's employees provide care, care and support to people throughout Skellefteå. They may be elderly people, people with physical or mental disabilities or individuals and families in need of special support for a period.
