We are now in the starting pits to adapt our units to the care needs we see today and with a view to the future. Now we are increasing the staffing at Skellefteå Korttidscentra and are therefore looking for more assistant nurses for day and night. The expansion enables improved schedules, better weekend staffing and reduced weekend duty. Skellefteå Korttidscentra is more than just a short-term activity. Those who come to us have a changed need for care, which means more qualified care and care. Which leads to you as a nurse working closely with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and doctors. Together you form a team around the individual and their relatives. In case of recurring short-term stays, the individual periodically stays in a short-term place and in between at home. Short-term stay is a support for relatives who care for their loved one at home. One of the units offers recurring short-term stays every day of the year and one of the units offers Monday to Friday, which means that staff from the unit work as a resource at other units during the weekends. Skellefteå Korttidscentra also has two departments with investigation places, in case of investigation the individual stays at SKC for a limited time. The investigative work consists of observations and documentation of the individual's everyday life in order to map any need for support. Based on the individual's needs, rehabilitative measures are applied with the goal that the individual should return to ordinary living. The work at Skellefteå short-term centers is varied, developing and you will be given the opportunity to both broaden and grow in your skills as a nurse. Responsiveness and good treatment are of great importance. Here you become part of a work team where no two days are the same and where we work most of all for others - but also for each other. WORK DUTIES At Skellefteå short-term centers, we have a constant influx of new care recipients with variation regarding the individual's needs. In addition to nursing work, the work consists of investigations, recurring short-term stays and palliative care in collaboration with rehab and nursing teams. As a new employee, you will receive an introduction together with a supervisor and training if necessary. On behalf of licensed healthcare personnel, you will perform medical technical measures such as tube feeding, sampling, repositioning and other medical interventions. The duties also include documenting, planning and organizing the daily work. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues, relatives and other resource persons. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are trained assistant nurses who want to develop within the role or are looking for new challenges in care and social care. We also see it as meritorious if you have experience in healthcare and rehabilitation. You have good documentation and record keeping and enjoy varied work and working in teams where together we provide support to make a difference for people with changed life situations. You feel a commitment and are professional and responsive in your work. Responding to the wishes and needs of others with respect comes naturally to you and you enjoy helping others. You can easily collaborate with others, while you have the ability to work independently and take your own initiative. Skellefteå municipality is a Finnish and Sami administrative municipality, it is therefore advantageous if you know Finnish or Sami. If you also know sign language, we see it as an asset in our operations. OTHER The Social Office's employees provide care, concern and support to people throughout Skellefteå. They can be elderly, people with physical or mental disabilities or individuals and families in need of special support for a period. Our operations are located all over the municipality and with us there are specialists in several areas within care, care, nutrition, support and activation for the disabled, substance abuse treatment, family counseling and much more.
