We are looking for a support assistant/support staff for our group homes on Grandengatan in Kåge. Both accommodations consist of homes for six users on each unit. Those who live on Grandengatan have a need to be close to staff around the clock and have both big and small needs for support and help to cope with their everyday life. The work involves day, evening, weekend and awake night and we schedule according to the working time model. WORK DUTIES As a support assistant, you must support and motivate users to strengthen and maintain their abilities. We work to improve the conditions for participation in everyday life. We must provide support in practical everyday activities, for example household chores, cooking, laundry and action. The support takes place in the form of a collaboration where you perform, guide and coach the person based on the user's ability for independence. We are also a support in terms of social community and employment at work and leisure. Together with the user, we plan activities that correspond to the user's needs and wishes. You must also be able to carry out, assist and support the user in their personal care in a respectful manner. You must also be able to plan and prepare meals and create a meal environment that is pleasant both for the individual and for the group. The work takes place based on established implementation plans and goals. As staff, you must stimulate and protect the person's participation and self-determination in the planning of efforts and activities. The support must be planned so that the person receives the right support at the right time, neither too much nor too little. We work both with implementation planning and ongoing documentation in the daily work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has knowledge and understanding of intellectual disabilities and mental illness. If you have a high school education in care and social care or the children's and leisure program with a focus on people with special needs or other suitable education, it is meritorious. We would like to see that you have knowledge in low-affective treatment and clarifying working methods. It is also advantageous if you have practical knowledge of tube feeding and nursing work. As a person, you need to be structured to be able to plan your work. You must also be able to cooperate with colleagues and the individual based on their needs. You have good communication skills, are professional and enjoy working both independently and together with others. You have a health-promoting approach and see the healthy by utilizing and developing the person's abilities. You are confident, responsive and have knowledge and interest in working educationally.
