We are now looking for a support teacher for our daily activities Form and Design. In daily activities, we create meaningful employment for people with disabilities together. The goal is for everyone to get as close to the labor market as possible. We do this, among other things, by collaborating with companies, administrations and associations. Form and Design is a daily activity aimed at support users who are interested in crafts and creative work. Creative activities strengthen participation, self-esteem and communication. Creative work is a means to achieve the goal of the intervention. As a support educator, you will make a real difference to everyone who lives and works here. Welcome with your application! WORK TASKS As a support educator, you have specialized skills, increased responsibilities and support to achieve individual focus, holistic approach, coordination and development. In addition to the responsibilities and tasks that everyone in the work group has, as a support educator you work systematically to ensure quality, develop the business from an individual and group perspective and to create and develop a learning and committed work climate. You work to support, inspire and coach work groups to apply various tools to adapt the activities based on the users' general and individual needs and continuously reflect on your own and colleagues' professional ethics and methodology. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have post-secondary education in the form of at least 200 YH credits or 60 university credits with a focus on disabilities. You should have knowledge and experience of working with people with disabilities who are in need of support. You should also have knowledge of how disabilities can affect people's living conditions and participation in society. We would like you to have experience of working with people with mental health problems. It is an advantage if you have experience of supervising others. As a person, you have a creative interest, are confident in yourself and used to taking responsibility, acting and solving different situations that arise. Translating theoretical knowledge and pedagogical methods into everyday work is something you find easy. It is also important that you show initiative and want to contribute to the development of the organization. You are both analytical and practical. You must also be able to communicate in Swedish in both speech and writing and be able to adapt your own message to the conditions of the target group. If you know AAC, sign language, Sami or Finnish, we see it as an asset in our activities. OTHER The Social Office's employees provide care and support to people throughout Skellefteå. They may be elderly people, people with physical or mental disabilities or individuals and families in need of special support for a period of time. Our activities are located throughout the municipality and we have specialists in several areas of care, care, nutrition, support and activation for the disabled, substance abuse care, family counseling and much more.
