About the position

As an Energy Engineer, you will belong to the Energy section, which is a support function that works overall with SSAB's energy management. Energy provides, among other things, customized advice and support in energy management, energy efficiency, electricity distribution, heating and combustion and combustible gases. The team works on behalf of all departments within the production site Borlänge, which means a lot of cooperation with different activities.

As an Energy Engineer, you will be offered a varied job and have a central role in supporting, improving and developing the production site's energy management work. Through a proactive approach, you will help ensure that SSAB Borlänge complies with current regulations and is a driving force in the site's systematic energy management work.

The service involves collaboration and advice in various activities with varying complexity of the issues.

• Support the business on energy issues and drive improvement initiatives.
• Plan and lead projects linked to energy processes.
• Contribute expertise in energy distribution, energy mapping and emissions trading.
• Ensure that policy documents comply with laws, regulations and standards.
• Train and introduce colleagues in energy-related roles.
• You will have a varied and high-impact job - where interaction with different departments is a natural part of everyday life.

About you

• You have a post-secondary education in energy management or several years of experience in the field (engineering degree is meritorious)
• Have experience in project management and a good understanding of technical systems.
• Are self-driven, service-oriented and collaborative.
• Have good communication skills, are structured and flexible.
• Want to try new ways of working and see opportunities in change.
