About the service

As a process engineer in the Steelworks department, you will belong to the Process Development and Logistics section, which is an important part of SSAB Luleå's production. The Swedish Steel Works is responsible for the production of substances with associated processes from sulfur removal to substance handling. The section consists of several process engineers who support production in process-related matters.

The development of new steel is a challenging task in the work of constantly improving quality, productivity and availability in the lines. Our ambition is to do this in parallel with developing employees and the organization towards safe and developing work.

Your responsibility as a process engineer is to follow up and develop our process in close collaboration with operators and other production personnel, and great importance will therefore be placed on your personal qualities.

Your main areas of responsibility

  • Follow up and evaluate process data.
  • Plan and ensure material flows to the process such as alloys and slag formers.
  • Carry out and participate in cause analyzes and plan measures in case of process-related production disturbances.
  • Investigate and follow up quality deviations.
  • Participate in the development of common working methods.
  • Identify and drive improvement activities within process development.
  • Participate in process-related investment projects.
  • Plan and implement operator training.

About you
