Are you the one? The education staff pool consists of full-time and short-term substitutes who are available for all pre- and primary schools in Umeå municipality.
The staff pool was developed already in 2014 and is today an established and appreciated support function with 150 full-time childcare workers, preschool teachers and teachers. The pool is competent and experienced and contributes with continuity, security and a familiar face for parents, staff and children/pupils.
Now we need to expand our team with two teachers in after-school programs and two childcare workers!
Your tasks
As an after-school teacher, you play a central role in creating a meaningful leisure time where the students' development and learning are in focus. You will act as an important link between school and leisure time, where play, creativity and social skills can take place and develop. By forming safe and inclusive groups, you help build the citizens of the future. You lead inspiring teaching based on students' own interests, experiences and needs, and you are a key person who sees each student and helps to strengthen their self-esteem. This is one of Sweden's most meaningful and rewarding teaching jobs - where every day offers an opportunity to make a real difference.
As a childminder, you work to support the children's development and give them the opportunity to engage in various leisure activities, such as carpentry, painting, theater or sports, but also to socialize with free play as a starting point. You will work to develop the children's social skills, as well as teaching them skills such as math, language and social studies.
You are based on the school's curriculum, but it is always the regular staff who have the pedagogical responsibility in the activities and who are responsible for maintaining a good structure. For all posts, you may be required to act as a student assistant during class time.
In short, this is a varied and stimulating job where you will meet many different children and adults and become part of the staff team for the day!

It would be an advantage if you have experience of working in a preschool, preschool class or after-school center.
As a safe and present adult, you are an important role model who sees each student and contributes to a positive atmosphere. In the staff pool, you work according to the keywords "flexible, competent and experienced", which means that you quickly adapt to new environments and groups.
