Within special housing, there are group and service homes according to LSS for people with intellectual and/or mental disabilities. Trastvägen is a group home under LSS located at Mariehem and is aimed at people with disabilities. The home offers an environment characterized by respect and professionalism, where each individual has the opportunity to develop based on their own conditions. We are now looking for you who want to work as a support assistant with us! Your tasks You will guide and support people with intellectual and mental disabilities in their everyday lives. You will provide individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. You work to enable people to participate in their everyday lives and have meaningful leisure and/or employment. The work includes personal care, practical tasks and everyday chores. Working hours are day/evening and weekends. Smoking may be involved so you should not be allergic. Co-planning with other activities in disability care may occur. You are sensitive, calm and confident in your professional role and are motivated by supporting the individual's independence and development. Furthermore, you are full of initiative and want to actively contribute to developing our group home together with colleagues and residents. With creativity and commitment, you find solutions that make everyday life meaningful and create participation for each person. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Requirements Educated nurse, child care worker, social worker or other education that the employer considers equivalent Experience of working in the health sector Meritorious Experience of working in disability care In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and read care documentation and obtain medication, you must have a good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
