About the role
Vattenfall has a clear strategy to be a fossil-free society and a leader in the green transition and we are proud to play an important role in meeting the increased demand for fossil-free electricity generation. In order to do so, we see that all fossil-free power sources will be needed, which is why we have now established a program to create analyses of the conditions for establishing new nuclear power.
As part of this, Vattenfall has created a new staff unit - New Nuclear (GX) - within the Power Generation Business Area, which is responsible for the development of new nuclear power. At the same time, work continues to investigate the possibilities for new nuclear power on the Värö Peninsula in Halland, with the aim of having a plant in operation by the first half of the 2030s at the earliest.
About the position
Do you want to be part of creating the energy solutions of the future? Then you could be the Business Developer we are looking for for the New Nuclear staff unit at Vattenfall.
As a Business Developer with us, you have a key role in planning, preparing and building up the future owner organization for new nuclear power (operation company).
Your main responsibilities:
It is part of the position to take the role of future facility owner, which means that you will be part of managing and operating the facility during a transition period. You will be responsible for ensuring that the plant continues to operate in an efficient and successful manner, while contributing to the development and improvement of the business in the long term.
Requirement specification
We are looking for you who is an experienced leader who has the ability to understand different interests through active dialog and weigh these together into balanced recommendations for Vattenfall's best interests. You can capture the essence of important information and are curious about how others have tackled similar challenges. You are good at establishing and maintaining networks and have a strong drive and high integrity, preferably with international experience from the nuclear industry.
You also have a relevant academic background as a civil engineer or economist (or equivalent), experience from the nuclear power industry or other industry with high safety requirements. You have a good command of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
You have a good structure in your work, as well as experience in using various IT systems and tools for analysis, forecasting, planning and reporting and follow-up.
B-Driving license is a requirement as there is travel in the service.
