In the role of Account Manager, you will be a key person in our process industry team, focusing on Swedish customers in the pulp and paper industry. You act as the link between ABB and our customers, building strong and long-term relationships from the management team to automation engineers, operators and operations staff. You work closely with both customers' technical experts and decision makers, while leading ABB's internal teams in creating and delivering solutions that enhance customers' competitiveness and ensure that each customer experiences clear value in working with ABB.

You create broad and deep customer contacts and use your technical understanding to connect their needs to ABB's solution portfolio. You identify new business opportunities, develop a strategic sales pipeline and drive sales with clear business and profit responsibility. You lead the business dialogue from idea to implementation, design business proposals together with ABB's project and delivery teams and manage projects in areas such as automation, electrification and digitalization. An important part of the work is to analyze the customer's current systems, design technical and commercial solutions, present these and negotiate and conclude agreements.

  • Analyze the customer's current situation and needs - technically, commercially and strategically.
  • Create internal business plans and sales strategies to win business.
  • Update and manage customer registers and CRM systems.
  • Design and present solution proposals in automation, electrification and digitization.
  • Create investment documentation and drive the business dialogue forward.
  • Manage quotation and tender work and contract negotiations.
  • Follow up projects and secure long-term value for the customer.

Your background

  • Documented experience of at least 5 years of complex B2B sales in automation, drive systems or digital solutions, preferably in the process industry and especially paper & pulp.
  • Independent account management with the ability to plan, execute and follow up customer activities from prospecting to closing.
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills with experience in identifying business opportunities, creating customer value and negotiating contracts. Experience with SSG and other forms of contracts is meritorious.
  • Technical competence in automation and drive systems. Experience with PLC, QCS, drives and power distribution in industry, as well as understanding of ISO standards relevant to the automation industry.
  • Knowledge of digitalization and Industry 4.0, including trends such as OPC UA, IIoT, data analytics and energy efficiency.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with professional treatment of both technical and commercial decision makers.
  • Swedish and English in speech and writing for customer dialogues, quotation work and international collaborations.
  • Structured and goal-oriented approach, with the ability to work methodically both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, set goals and drive towards results.
  • B-driving license and high flexibility for regular travel to customer sites throughout Sweden.
