Business Developer - ABB Motion, Drive Products

We are now looking for a Business Developer to join our sales team within the Drive Products division in Sweden. With possible location in Stockholm, Västerås or Norrköping.

About the role

Are you a person with a clear hunter mentality, who is driven by finding new prospects, creating new business and above all driven by winning new customers? Then this could be the right next step for you.

In this role, you will have a key position in further developing and expanding ABB's successful business in Motion in Sweden. You will be part of an experienced and collaborative sales team where you, together with colleagues and factories in Europe and globally, work to deliver customized and competitive solutions to our customers.

You will be responsible for driving growth through new customers, with full ownership of your sales plan and achieving your targets. The role includes company car and performance based bonus. You will also have access to ABB's extensive training and development program, with many development opportunities to grow in your role and advance your career.

Your main responsibilities

  • Drive new customer acquisition and develop the business in drives, automation products and motors
  • Create and execute a clear sales plan to achieve your growth targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities through analysis of market, customer needs and trends.
  • Build and develop relationships and collaborations within the sales team to optimize the cultivation of new customers within the business area, as well as represent ABB's broad offering.
  • Collaborate closely with producing units, sales teams, internal specialists and back-office to create strong customer solutions.

We believe you have

  • Experience in outreach sales and are motivated by winning new business.
  • Ability to drive long and complex sales cycles, preferably in OEM channel sales and technical sales.
  • Good structure, good drive and very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Having a technical interest and a willingness to learn more experience with motors, drives and automation is a plus, as well as an engineering background.
