This position reports to: Service Marking & Sales Manager.

We are expanding our sales organization with a new role as "digital / inside salesman".

You will be an addition and complement to our organization consisting of traditional regional salesmen and tender engineers. You will work as a salesperson in cases and for customers where the value for the customer is speed, simplicity and where a site visit is not necessary to develop a proposal and tender. Some deals and customers you will handle the entire process and for some deals and customers you will collaborate with regional sales people, tender engineers and also our service technicians. You will work both reactively, with inquiries coming in to us, as well as proactively by reaching out to customers digitally and offering our services and solutions. You will sell our entire portfolio of modernization products, maintenance services and also our portfolio of advisory services.

The position is preferably located in Västerås (as many support functions are located there) but as the position is digital, other locations will be considered.

Role and responsibilities

  • Digital sales with focus on profitability - sell products, solutions and services digitally with focus on volume, mix and profitability within assigned product areas.
  • Customer relations and needs alignment - establish and maintain relationships with customers and their digital stakeholders, to understand needs and present relevant solutions from ABB Electrification Service.
  • Proactive sales management - planning sales using ABB tools, following up on quote backlog and suggesting actions in case of order loss, and handling cases requiring site visits in collaboration with regional colleagues.
  • Market development and collaboration - identifying new business opportunities, driving development in the market and ensuring knowledge sharing with other sales people.
  • Bid management and administration - preparing and presenting digital bids, ensuring technical and commercial aspects, as well as supporting project managers and managing administrative parts of the sales process.

Your background

  • Relevant education in technology, sales or similar, or equivalent work experience.
  • Several years of sales experience in technical or industrial services, preferably in electrification.
  • Experience in electrical power distribution (low voltage up to high voltage plants)
  • Strong business understanding and experience in managing customer relationships at different levels.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills in both Swedish and English.
  • Good knowledge of digital systems and confidence in communicating digitally
  • A goal-oriented and solution-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently and in teams.

More about us

You will be part of our Marketing and Sales department within Electric Power Services together with regional sales representatives, tender engineers and spare parts sales representatives. The rest of the organization consists of project managers, service coordinators, contract managers, administrative staff and our service engineers who help our customers on site every day.

ABB Electrification Service has about 60 employees in ten locations throughout Sweden. We have a wide product program and help customers to ensure the availability of their installed base. Our customers are in paper & pulp, ironworks, energy companies, electricity grid companies, water & sewage, chemical and mining industries.
