This position reports to: Field Service Manager.

ABB is one of the leading suppliers of electrical power products, systems and services around the world. The market is growing and we need more people. Right now we are looking for a Service Technician in electrical power to be able to start from one of our offices in Västerås, Norrköping, Stockholm with a work area mainly in Mälardalen and the surrounding area. We are an organization that is spread throughout the country and there is therefore travel and overnight stays in the service as we collaborate on larger projects in the organization.

Our mission is to provide services that increase operational reliability, availability and profitability and reduce the environmental impact of the customer's production facilities. We cover the entire life cycle of the plant and help our customers work with continuous improvements.

We continuously offer opportunities for training and many take place under ABB's auspices abroad in different locations linked to different products.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will be involved in remedial and preventive maintenance of circuit breakers 400V-1000V low voltage circuit breakers.
  • Relay protection and other equipment in low voltage and switchgear installations.
  • Repair and troubleshoot MV circuit breakers in the workshop and in the field.
  • In the future, you will participate in the commissioning of switchgear.
  • You act as sales support and resource in quotation work, including for upgrades and rebuilds of power equipment.
  • In the future, you will have the opportunity to be part of an emergency response team.
  • Travel is included in the position and you will work in a mobile environment.

Your background:

  • You have experience as a service technician/engineer or as a maintenance electrician at industrial plants or similar activities.
  • You can read both mechanical and electrical drawings and if you are also an experienced user of measuring equipment in a switchgear environment, it is an advantage.
  • As a person, you are social, careful and always put the work environment and safety first.
  • You have a good mood and an open and empathetic attitude towards customers and colleagues.
  • Experience of having worked with similar products before and/or ABB's power products is meritorious.
  • Experience of plant design, commissioning and testing is meritorious.
  • You master both English and Swedish in speech and writing.
  • You have a B license, can use a computer in your work and know how to handle and interpret measurement data.
