As a global market leader, we'll give you what you need to make it happen. It won't always be easy, growing takes grit. But at ABB, you'll never run alone. Run what runs the world.

This Position reports to:

Engineering Manager

Your responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to work with advanced process automation and contribute to developing the Life Science industry of the future. As an automation engineer with us, you will be part of a dedicated team working on technically complex projects where ABB's market-leading DCS platform System 800xA is at the center.

You work closely with project managers and engineering colleagues and get to follow the projects throughout the chain - from idea and design to commissioning and follow-up on site, both in Sweden and the rest of the Nordic region. Here, theory and practice are combined in projects that make a real difference for our customers in the pharmaceutical industry.

We are currently about 70 engineers in several locations and are now looking for more colleagues who want to grow with us. Location is primarily Kista, alternatively Västerås or Malmö.

The role includes, among other things:

- Participate in delivery projects throughout the life cycle - from sales support and concept to commissioning and aftermarket.

- Develop functional specifications and work with system setup, system integration and programming.

- Conduct verification and validation, including testing at Life Science customers.

- Ensure technical solutions meet quality, standards and safety requirements.

- Work closely with project managers, engineers and customers in project and technical meetings and during site visits.

- Work independently on smaller projects or as part of larger project teams.

Your background

- Engineering education and preferably several years of experience in process automation in the life science, food, pharmaceutical or process industry.

- Programming experience and a strong interest in automation and control of industrial processes.

- We believe you have experience in application programming in 800xA or other DCS platforms with batch functionality.

- Curious, goal-oriented and communicative - you thrive on customer contact and building relationships.

- Ability to work both independently and in teams.

- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, in speech and writing.

- B-driving license.
