Role and responsibilities

Do you want to take the next step as an Automation Engineer and work with the latest technology in a future-oriented and expansive environment? At our office in Malmö, you will get a developing role where you will be a key person in our team - with the opportunity to influence both technical solutions, customer projects and our continued growth.

You work with ABB's market-leading DCS platform 800xA and contribute to projects that make a real difference for both industry and society. The role is varied and covers everything from system support and aftermarket services to delivery projects, where you alternate between independent work and close collaboration with colleagues and customers. Our assignments extend throughout southern Sweden and include energy, process industry, manufacturing industry and water and heating plants.

As part of our dedicated team, you get to work in a dynamic environment where you develop both breadth and depth in your knowledge. Each project provides new opportunities for learning, innovation and relationships.

  • Your tasks consist of field service assignments and maintenance services and support but also system setup, system integration, programming and verification/validation in the form of testing at our customers.
  • You participate in delivery projects together with the project team and are involved in all phases of the project from sales support and idea to commissioning and aftermarket support.
  • You ensure that the technical solution is developed in accordance with specifications, standards and safety requirements with the right quality and according to schedule.
  • You work closely with engineers and project managers and can act independently in smaller projects.
  • You have close contact with our customers and participate in project and technical meetings as well as on site visits.

Your background

  • We are looking for you who have an engineering degree (university or vocational college) or equivalent work experience.
  • You can be an experienced automation engineer with many years of background in process automation, but we also welcome you with a few years of experience and a great desire to develop.
  • To succeed in the role, we would like you to have programming experience and an interest in automation and control of industrial processes. It is advantageous if you have experience of ABB's System 800xA or other DCS platforms.
  • As a person, you are curious, determined and communicative. You enjoy building good customer relationships, take responsibility in your projects and have the ability to work in a structured and solution-oriented way.
  • You master Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
  • You should have a B driving license.

This is what we offer you

Take responsibility, share bold ideas and achieve concrete results with us. You will develop through hands-on experience, mentoring and lifelong learning aligned with your goals. Here, your work doesn't just make a difference - it drives development forward.

At ABB, you get benefits that support you throughout your career - in everything from health to retirement.
