Role and responsibilities

ABB is one of the leading suppliers of products, systems and services in electric power around the world. The market is growing and we need more people. Right now we are looking for a Service Technician in electrical power to be able to start from one of our offices in Mölndal with a work area mainly in the southern part of Sweden and the surrounding area. We are an organization that is spread throughout the country so there is travel and overnight stays in the service as we collaborate on larger projects in the organization. Our mission is to provide services that increase reliability, availability and profitability and reduce the environmental impact of the customer's production facilities. We cover the entire life cycle of the plant and help our customers work with continuous improvements.

  • Dedicate yourself to remedial and preventive maintenance of voltage switches (400V-1000V) and low-voltage switches.
  • Work with relay protection and other equipment in low-voltage and switchgear plants.
  • Repair and troubleshoot medium-voltage switches (MV) in the field.
  • Participate in the commissioning of switchgear in the future.
  • Serve as sales support and resource in quotation work, including upgrades and rebuilds of power equipment.
  • Get the opportunity to be part of an emergency response team in the future.

Your background

Technical skills

  • You have experience as a service technician/engineer or as a maintenance electrician at industrial plants or similar operations.
  • You can read both mechanical and electrical drawings and if you are also an experienced user of measuring equipment in a switchgear environment, it is meritorious.
  • Can use a computer in the work and know how to handle and interpret measurement data.
  • Experience of having worked with similar products before and/or ABB's power products is an advantage.
  • Experience of plant construction, commissioning and testing is an advantage.

Language and communication

  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

Personal qualities

  • Social, careful and safety-conscious.
  • Positive and empathetic in contact with both customers and colleagues.
  • Enjoys a mobile work where travel is included.
  • B-driving license
