Your role and responsibilities

ABB Measurement & Analytics is now looking for a Service Technician who wants to work with the latest technology in instrumentation and analytics.

You will be part of ABB Measurement and Analytics, which is a division within the Process Automation business area. Our focus is to make it easy to install, use and maintain instruments and analyzers. The Analysis & Instrument department currently has about 30 employees working in five locations in Sweden.

The role is characterized by freedom under responsibility and you will be able to influence your role and work tasks. We offer a very exciting role for those who like innovation and want to develop as a service technician, where you help customers every day to solve technical problems and optimize customers' operations in instrumentation and analysis. The role means that you have the customer in focus and thrive on problem solving and advice, mainly on site with customers. Your field of work is all of Sweden, which means that a lot of travel occurs in the service.

Your responsibilities:

In the role of service technician, you will work with service and support of instruments and analysis products used in the process industry.

Your everyday life includes everything from support services to maintenance service with calibration, troubleshooting and repairs, commissioning of new analysis systems and to hold training and act as technical support to other parts of the organization. You act proactively and create additional sales by taking advantage of the opportunities that arise. The position involves a lot of traveling as the work is mainly done at our customers around Sweden. You will receive plenty of support internally, which will allow you to develop within the profession or broaden your skills in the future.

Qualifications for the role

  • Your background
  • You have a technical/electronics background and preferably also some chemistry expertise and have a couple of years of experience from similar tasks with technical problem solving.
  • Experience from working with gas analysis or flue gas measurement or technician in the process industry is meritorious.
  • Experience working in CRM systems and IT skills are meritorious.
  • We are looking for a positive and driven service technician who feels a great commitment to his work.
  • As a person, you are service-oriented, and are quick in both thought and action.
  • You are structured and meticulous and have a business-like mindset.
  • English and Swedish you can speak and write without any problems.
