This position reports to: Service Manager.

ABB Electrification Service Sweden delivers critical services and solutions in low and medium voltage across the country - from Malmö in the south to Kiruna in the north. With approximately 60 employees, we are a growing unit focused on being the best in our niche to improve the availability, reliability, predictability and sustainability of electric power for our customers.

Through a broad portfolio of products and services - including maintenance, modernization and consulting for low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, relay protection and related products - we support key industries in paper & pulp, mining, steel production, energy companies and utilities.

In the role of Field Service Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing a team of three regional field service managers and our workshop located in Västerås. Our assignments range from installation and commissioning to repairs, preventive maintenance, rebuilding and extensions of switchgear within low and medium voltage. You are responsible for ensuring and developing the availability of field service personnel including subcontractors and partners for the execution of field activities in Sweden. You are responsible for the development, implementation and adherence to operational processes with the goal of delivering with quality, efficiency, safety and highest customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with sales as well as project and contract organization to analyze future needs and develop our delivery capacity.

Preferred location: Västerås, Karlstad, Skellefteå, Luleå.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and develop availability of field service competence for Electrification Service in Sweden for delivery of our complete service portfolio.
• Own, develop and implement the strategy for the field service organization at country level including organization, competencies, suppliers & partnerships, workshop resources, instruments and equipment etc.
• Own, develop and implement operational processes, instructions and tools for the field service organization
• Ensure implementation and compliance with health, safety and quality (HSE) requirements
• Full responsibility for business and delivery of service orders.
• Responsibility for the growth and performance of project and contract deliveries through collaboration with the project, and contract organization.
• Represent the field service organization and workshop operations in the local management team.
• Build and develop long-term customer relationships in collaboration with the sales, project, and contract organization as well as the own team.

Qualifications

• Experience of leadership in service, industry, technical operations or similar.
• Good understanding of service processes and customer-oriented work.
• Relevant technical education or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in resource allocation and operational management.
• Knowledge of work environment and safety (HSE/OHS.)
• Experience of project management or improvement work is meritorious.
• Accreditation A or AL is meritorious.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, combined with good communication skills and strong collaboration skills.
• Structured, solution-oriented and result-oriented.
