This position reports to:

Service Manager

ABB Electrification Service Sweden delivers critical low and medium voltage services and solutions across the country - from Malmö in the south to Kiruna in the north. With approximately 60 employees, we are a growing unit focused on being the best in our niche to improve the availability, reliability, predictability and sustainability of electric power for our customers.

Through a broad portfolio of products and services - including maintenance, modernization and consulting for low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, relay protection and related products - we support key industries in paper & pulp, mining, steel production, energy companies and utilities.

In the role of Field Service Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing the team of field service engineers in northern Sweden, where you create a culture of collaboration, responsibility and customer focus. You are responsible for ensuring and developing long-term availability of field service personnel within your region in accordance with the business strategy, while leading the daily planning and preparation of service assignments with the support of the service coordinator who is part of your team. You will work closely with our Project and Contract Managers to resource and execute field activities and ensure that service deliveries are completed with high quality, on time and at the right cost - always with the customer's needs in focus and in accordance with established processes and safety requirements.

Preferred location Skellefteå, Luleå or Gällivare.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan and follow up the work of a team of Field Service Engineers and Service Coordinator.
  • Ensure and develop the availability of field service expertise in your area of operation with your own field service staff and/or subcontractors.
  • Build and develop long-term customer relationships in close cooperation with the sales, project, and contract organization.
  • Allocate resources effectively based on skills, workload and delivery requirements.
  • Drive and follow up service deliveries according to set goals such as quality, cost, and delivery time.
  • Ensure that assignments are well prepared before departure for efficient and safe execution on site.
  • Ensure availability, quality and correct utilization of personal protective equipment, tools and instruments
  • Initiate and drive continuous improvement of processes, working methods and tools in line with the unit strategy
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements
  • Coach, develop and ensure competence level and certifications within the team
  • Collaborate with other units to ensure a consistent and competitive customer offering

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical education or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in leadership in service, industry or technical operations
  • Good understanding of service processes, technical support and customer-oriented work
  • Experience in planning, resource allocation and operational management
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety (HSE/OHS)
  • Experience in project management and/or improvement work is meritorious
  • Accreditation A or AL is meritorious.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Structured, solution-oriented and results-driven
