Your role and responsibilities

In the role of HSE Specialist at ABB Electrification Service, you will work operationally and strategically to ensure that our operations comply with applicable legislation, internal guidelines and customer requirements within health, safety, energy/environment (HSEE). You will be a key person in ensuring compliance and driving improvements in the area as well as supporting both our service teams and other divisions as well as management in HSE related issues.

In this role you will be part of HSE networks with other specialist colleagues in the same areas both nationally and globally.

  • Support the organization in the daily HSE work and act as an advisor in the area.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, inspections, develop and implement HSE plans and safety rounds.
  • Lead or participate in HSE audits and follow-ups.
  • Train and coach employees in HSE-related issues.
  • Follow up and report key figures and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that our projects and service assignments meet both internal and external HSE requirements.


Qualifications for the role

  • We are looking for you who have a strong commitment to health, safety, energy/environment and want to work closely with the business.
  • To succeed in the role, we would like you to have:
  • Post-secondary education in work environment, environment, technology or equivalent.
  • Experience of HSE work, from industry, field service or project activities including work with electrical power in a switchgear environment.
  • Knowledge of risk analysis, safety procedures and preventive measures.
  • Good knowledge of electrical safety regulations and standards.
  • Good knowledge of environmental legislation and work environment legislation
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
  • Ability to work independently and take your own initiative, while enjoying working with others.
  • Training in practical electricity and electrical safety and work environment is merited
  • Experience in energy management system ISO 45001 and environmental management system ISO 14001 is meritorious.
  • You must be analytical and solution-oriented, communicative and educational as well as thorough and structured.
  • B-driving license
