Industrial Electrician for ABB Machines

Location: Västerås

Your role

At ABB we are working to drive the development of the energy efficient and sustainable solutions of the future. We are now looking for an experienced industrial electrician to join our Machines business in Västerås, where you will work in a technically advanced environment focusing on the operation, maintenance and development of our test facility.

In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for corrective, preventive and planned maintenance, participate in installations and rebuilds, and work with improvements in the facility. You will handle both high and low voltage as well as rotary converters with different drive systems and interact daily in the interface production, local maintenance organization and external service partners.

We are looking for you who have electrical engineering education at least at secondary level and many years of experience as an electrician in power, industry or installation. You have good knowledge of control and regulation technology, as well as current electrical safety rules and standards.

Competencies and qualifications

  • Practical experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems
  • Ability to read and understand wiring, circuit and single line diagrams
  • Experience in installing, repairing and upgrading electrical equipment
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
  • Knowledge in measurement technology
  • Good ability to communicate in Swedish, spoken and written
  • Accurate, analytical and calm in work performance
  • Service-oriented and appreciates cooperation with colleagues
  • Risk-conscious and proactively contributes to a safe work environment
  • Authorization A or AL with interest in obtaining A
  • Meritande: ESA training, experience in high voltage plants, drive systems and PLC programming, knowledge of hydraulics
