Role and responsibilities

ABB Control Room Solutions with production facility in Ryssby and office in Borås, designs, manufactures and sells advanced operator stations for control rooms specially designed with the operators in focus, with the aim of driving productivity, quality and safety to new levels. Our products are used in many industries and the reference list is extensive: from transportation, oil and gas, power generation, mining and manufacturing process control to police, fire and ambulance services. You are part of an assembly team and report to the Head of the unit, Ulf Magnusson.

Your responsibilities:

• As an assembler/installer, you are responsible for carrying out safe and quality assemblies, installations and commissioning of operator stations and furniture at our customers.
• You assemble, pack, install and configure on site at the customer.
• The service includes travel within both the Nordic region and the rest of the world and the scope of the installation projects ranges from a few hours of work up to a week at a time.
• You build strong relationships with both customers and stakeholders.

Your background:

• We are looking for you who are practical and have a strong technical interest. Your IT knowledge is good.
• You have experience of working with the assembly and installation of technical equipment.
• You have experience of working in customer projects both in groups and independently.
• As a person, you are driven, collaborative and solution-oriented, and have a pronounced ability to communicate well, and create good relationships.
• You master Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Additional languages are meritorious.
