Role and Responsibilities

Come to ABB and work in a team that strives to create a future where innovative digital technologies provide greater access to cleaner energy.

You will be part of Distribution Solutions, a business unit within ABB's Electrification division that sells and services low and medium voltage switchgear and control gear and provides packaged solutions for low and medium voltage equipment for the Swedish market. The equipment is manufactured and delivered from the factory in Västerås or other ABB workshops in Europe depending on product type and scope. The unit's customers are mainly in the pulp and paper, mining, power generation and transmission, chemical, infrastructure and construction industries. The position reports to the responsible production manager. The service is located in Västerås.

As a tester with us, you will have a varied, responsible and developing work with many practical elements:

  • Perform electrical control of low-voltage switchgear
  • Perform control of control equipment with everything from simple technical solutions up to more complex intelligent systems.
  • You will work to check our products and ensure that they work before they are sent to the customer. It is about checking that everything is connected correctly and that the quality is at a high level. The basis we mainly use is the circuit diagram for the current product, so an understanding of circuit diagram reading is important.

  • Communicate fluently in Swedish and have a good understanding of English.
  • As a person, you are flexible, thorough and easy to work with others. You have an eye for quality and are happy to see opportunities where others see obstacles. You thrive in an environment where you can take responsibility, both for your own work and for contributing to the team's common goals.
