Your role and responsibilities

Take the chance to become a key player in the Planning & Fulfillment team within ABB Smart Power. We are looking for a committed and driven material planner who wants to contribute to a strong and solution-oriented team.

In this role, you thrive in a dynamic environment with great variety of tasks and a high pace. You are flexible, enjoy change and are motivated by the fact that no two days are the same. You are happy to work both with external parties such as suppliers and freight forwarders, and cross-functionally internally. The role involves many contact areas where you, among other things, ensure the right priorities and handle various types of changes in the material flow.

To succeed, it is important that you are a clear and confident communicator who does not hesitate to enter into dialogues with suppliers, for example in shortage situations. It is also an advantage if you work in a structured way and have a good ability to handle numbers and data analysis. You are responsible for purchasing materials for our production and ensuring high material availability and correctly dimensioned safety stocks. You work actively with a portfolio of suppliers where you follow up open orders, forecast reliability and delivery capacity. In addition to this, you will drive and participate in various improvement initiatives. The role is closely linked to production and therefore requires presence on site every working day.

Qualifications for the role

  • University degree in relevant field or at least 2 years of experience in operational purchasing or equivalent role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an open-minded attitude that thrives in a dynamic environment where days vary.
  • Very good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English, with the ability to formulate and present clear and understandable information to colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Good analytical skills and habit of using data to make informed decisions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Advantage: experience with production planning, SAP and Power BI.
