Your role and responsibilities

Do you want to be part of a high-tech, constantly evolving industrial area? We are now looking for a Maintenance Technician for the mechanics group within the maintenance department at ABB Robotics in Västerås. Here you get to work in an environment where safety, quality and continuous improvements are in focus.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be a key person in the work of ensuring high availability and functionality of our equipment. Together with colleagues in the maintenance department, you work with:

  • Preventive and remedial maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and improvement work
  • Calibration and service of mechanical equipment
  • Cross-functional collaboration with other departments

The position refers to daytime with on-call evenings and weekends every four weeks.

Your background

We are looking for someone who has a strong interest in problem solving and who thrives in a collaborative and independent environment. You have a structured approach, are meticulous and put safety first.

We would like you to have experience or expertise in:

  • Mechanical work such as cutting, turning, welding, drilling and assembly (also in concrete)
  • Good knowledge of current legislation for machines, equipment, lifting gear and lifting devices
  • Drawing reading; understanding of electrical diagrams is meritorious
  • Travers, forklift or mobile work platforms - training and experience is a plus
  • Good computer skills (purchasing, case management, troubleshooting and problem solving)
