Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a driven and technically savvy Design Engineer with experience in developing and implementing a full factory simulation and visualization.

You will have the overall responsibility for developing a sustainable model for simulation and visualization of factory flows. The goal is to create a digital twin of the factory that

enables better planning, optimization and decision making - both in the short and long term.


Your main responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a full factory simulation model in FlexSim, including sub-models for logistics, assembly and painting operations.
  • Responsible for the development of a 3D and 2D visualization of the factory (Factory Master Plan) in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Ensure that the organization has the skills and workflows to maintain and further develop the models.
  • Coordinate with other initiatives to identify needs and deliver support.
  • Lead change management related to layout and visualization.
  • Conduct training and knowledge transfer to relevant functions.


Your background

  • Experience in project management in industrial automation, production engineering or similar.
  • Good understanding of simulation and visualization of production environments.
  • Very high level of competence in FlexSim, Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.
  • Strong communication skills and habit of working with many stakeholders.
  • Experience working with VR technology and rendering.
  • Previous work with major layout changes and production cell design.
  • Experience with MES systems and data integration.
