Would you like to work in a central role close to production, where the pace is fast and your efforts make a real difference every day? We are now looking for an Operational Buyer responsible for warehouse procurement. You’ll be part of the Operational Procurement and Preparation department, which consists of approximately 14 employees. Here, you’ll have excellent opportunities to receive support from colleagues in procurement, invoicing, and IT. The role involves taking personal responsibility but also collaborating across multiple functions within the organization.

As an operational buyer, you’ll be responsible for purchasing related to our inventory, which includes approximately 2,000 items—both critical components and consumables used continuously in production. You’ll work closely with production and the service department to ensure that the right materials are available at the right time. The role requires the ability to quickly address urgent needs and prioritize when situations arise—for example, when stock runs out and delivery times are long.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for purchasing stock items and production-related consumables (e.g., abrasives, silicone, lubricating oils)
• Maintain daily contact with production and the service department regarding needs
• Work closely with strategic procurement, R&D, and suppliers
• Work in SAP, where all purchasing is managed
• Follow up on deliveries and ensure the availability of critical materials

Your workplace is ABB Motion at our production and service facility in Västerås. The work is performed on-site at the office.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in procurement, production, or warehousing/logistics
• A college degree or post-secondary education (KY/YH) in procurement, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with SAP or similar business systems (preferred)
• Technical understanding, preferably with experience handling material, quality, or drawing-related issues
• Fluent in Swedish and proficient in English
• Independent, solution-oriented, and able to work well under pressure with strong collaboration skills
