This position reports to: Operations Manager.

We are now looking for a Production Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for a production department and work closely with both people and technology.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll have overall responsibility for a production department, which includes staff, the work environment, quality, and delivery.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Personnel management for production staff, including staffing, motivation, and performance reviews
  • Work environment responsibility (physical and psychosocial work environment)
  • Quality responsibility for the department’s deliveries and work processes
  • Ensuring that production meets established goals and key performance indicators
  • Financial responsibility and responsibility for the department’s continuous development
  • Recruitment, onboarding, and handling of personnel matters
  • Close collaboration with technical support, maintenance, and other support resources

The role is dynamic and varied, with both operational and strategic elements. You’ll handle everything from personnel-related issues to technical and production-related challenges and drive continuous improvement in day-to-day operations. The focus of the role is on leadership rather than technical expertise. The ability to engage, motivate, and develop people is crucial, as is the ability to be clear and set high standards when necessary. An interest in technology and production is important, but success in this role is primarily built on confident, inspiring, and hands-on leadership.

Your background:

  • At least 5 years of experience leading people, for example as a manager, team leader, or project manager
  • Experience in industrial operations, preferably in production
  • Relevant technical education is a plus
  • Experience with or a solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in a structured manner in an environment with many concurrent tasks
  • Swedish and English, both spoken and written

To succeed in this role, you need to be a driven and engaged leader who thrives on working through others. You collaborate easily with technical teams and have a genuine interest in production and improvement initiatives. You are clear, set high standards, and are motivating; you foster engagement by inspiring and following up. The role requires a strong ability to shift focus between different issues and to be actively involved in the business—this is not a role where you work alone.
