This position reports to:Operations Manager

We are now looking for a Production Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for a production department and work closely with both people and technology.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for a production department, covering people, health and safety, quality and delivery.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Personnel responsibility for employees in production, including staffing, motivation and follow-up
• Work environment responsibility (physical and psychosocial work environment)
• Quality responsibility for the department's deliveries and working methods
• Ensuring that production delivers according to set goals and key figures
• Financial responsibility and responsibility for the department's continuous development
• Recruitment, introduction and handling of personnel matters
• Close cooperation with technical support, maintenance and other support resources

The role is eventful and varied, with both operational and strategic elements. You will handle everything from personnel-related issues to technical and production-related challenges and drive improvement work in everyday life. The focus of the role is on leadership rather than detailed technical skills. The ability to engage, motivate and develop people is crucial, as well as being able to be clear and demanding when needed. An interest in technology and production is important, but success in the role is primarily based on confident, inspiring and present leadership.

Your background:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience of managing people, for example as a manager, team leader or project manager
• Experience in an industrial setting, preferably production
• Relevant technical education is meritorious
• Experience or good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement work
• Ability to work in a structured way in an environment with many parallel issues
• Swedish and English, in speech and writing

To succeed in the role, you need to be a driving and present leader who thrives on working through others. You are easy to collaborate with technical functions and have a genuine interest in production and improvement work. You are clear, demanding and motivating, and create commitment by inspiring and following up. The role requires a good ability to switch focus between different issues and to be active in the business - this is not a role where you work alone.
