Role and responsibilities

Do you want to help shape the future of robot production? We are now looking for a driven and curious Production Manager for our logistics department at ABB Robotics in Västerås - a role where you get to combine technology, leadership and development in an automated environment.

As Production Manager for Internal Material Handling, you will lead a team of about 38 employees, including a shift manager, a quality technician and a line technician. You will report to the Logistics Manager and be part of the Logistics department's management team.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving both operational and strategic work towards our goals in safety, quality, delivery, productivity and sustainability - with a focus on creating a work environment where people thrive, develop and perform.

We are on an exciting journey towards our new Robotics Campus in Västerås, and you will be a key person in shaping how we work with world-class internal logistics.

Your responsibilities include:

• Ensuring a systematic way of working that meets goals in safety, environment, quality, delivery and competence development.
• Leading improvement work and developing daily governance, 5S and working methods.
• Act as a requirement setter in projects that affect your area - with a focus on customer benefit and delivery.
• Develop a way of working that is competitive compared to world-leading production facilities.
• Be a clear and present leader who creates trust, commitment and understanding in the organization.

Your background

• Have at least 5 years of experience in production and logistics, preferably in technology-intensive or automated environments.
• Have an academic education, preferably in engineering or logistics.
• Communicative, clear and able to reach out to different parts of the organization.
• Has a genuine interest in new technology and automation - and sees change as an opportunity.
• Dedicated, responsible and able to influence both your own and the team's results.
• Has a leadership style characterized by humility, trust and curiosity.
• Speaks Swedish and English fluently.
• Has experience of SAP or similar business systems (meritorious).
• Preferably has experience in production technology or quality work (meritorious).
