In the role of Project Engineer with us, you will be part of ABB Process Industries where, together with project managers and other engineering colleagues, you will work on delivery projects to customers in automation and electric power. We base our project deliveries primarily on ABB's market-leading DCS platform 800xA.


You will be an important part of Process industries, a division within the Process Automation business area that delivers solutions and services in digitization, electrification and automation for the industry segments mining industry, paper industry, heating, waterworks, and battery industry.

Your responsibilities

  • As a Project Engineer, you are responsible for the technical coordination internally and externally and are involved in all phases of the project from sales support and idea to commissioning and aftermarket support.
  • You participate in the delivery of the projects together with the project team, which may include, for example, drawing up functional specifications, ordering hardware and software, system setup, system integration, programming as well as system and test documentation and verification/validation in the form of internal testing as well as during commissioning at the customer.
  • Delivery is carried out in accordance with specification, standards and safety requirements, as well as cost-effectively, with the right quality and according to schedule.
  • You have a close collaboration with our customers together with the project manager with e.g. participation in project and technology meetings and facility visits.
  • You collaborate with the purchasing department and have direct dialogue with subcontractors to ensure that the right technical solution is developed, which may also include participation in FAT/testing in the factory before delivery.
  • You share ABB's fundamental values ​​regarding safety and integrity, which means that you are risk-aware and take responsibility for your own actions while feeling responsible for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • You are a driven person who thrives in a role where you are self-motivated and can take responsibility and initiative.
  • You have good cooperation skills and are used to working in teams, are goal-oriented and communicative.
  • As a person, you put the customer in focus and have an ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.
  • It is advantageous to have knowledge of System 800xA, application, system installation and upgrades, also knowledge and interest in industrial OT/IT.
  • It is advantageous to have knowledge in electrical design and instrumentation as well as in contract law and economics.
  • We are looking for you who have a degree in engineering or civil engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • You speak and write in Swedish and English without hindrance.
  • You have a B driver's license when traveling in the service occurs.
