Your role and responsibilities

Are you an experienced automation engineer with both practical skills and strategic thinking? Do you want to take a leading role in developing the automated assembly solutions of the future? Then you could be the one we are looking for!

We are facing an exciting journey where automation is a key to creating efficient, safe and sustainable production. As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a central role in driving our automation strategy, leading technical improvement initiatives and defining design principles for future solutions. You will be an important part of our Automation Road Map and contribute to the development of our new factory with a focus on automated assembly.

In the role, you will be responsible for technical issues towards suppliers in major automation projects, develop your own automation solutions - from concept to commissioning, work closely with cross-functional teams in production technology and help shape our long-term automation strategy.

Your main tasks:

  • Be involved in developing our automation roadmap.
  • Define design principles and guidelines for automation projects.
  • Collaborate with production support teams and take the lead on automation improvements and activities.
  • Develop your own automation solutions - from idea to deployment.
  • Be active in major automation projects as automation leader, such as design reviews, FAT/SAT
  • Participate in concept studies where automation is involved.
  • Mentor and train colleagues within and outside your department to increase automation competence.


Your background

  • Several years of experience in automating assembly lines and improving production flows.
  • Experience in procurement and commissioning of automation equipment.
  • Like to be hands-on and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you can help build something from the ground up.
  • Are unpretentious, solution-oriented and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant technical university education or comparable work experience.
  • Siemens PLC, Robotstudio, Rapid and experience of AMR is a plus.
