Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Electric Power Engineer with us, you'll play a key role in some of Sweden's most technologically advanced electric power projects. Here you get both breadth and depth - and the opportunity to influence the entire chain from design to delivery.

In the role you will:

• Develop your technical knowledge in complex and challenging projects where you get great responsibility.
• Be the technical cohesive link in projects linked to electric power construction.
• Responsible for the delivery of design documentation such as circuit diagrams, cabinet layouts, connection tables and ensure that the solutions meet customer requirements and applicable standards.
• Work closely with the project team and contribute to timely deliveries with the right quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues within ELDS, external suppliers and customers - and be an important part of our continued development.
• Support ABB's values around safety and integrity, and take responsibility both for your own actions and for the whole of the business.

Qualifications for the role

• High school degree in electrical engineering or equivalent competence.
• Deficient experience in electrical power design in low and medium voltage, relay protection, communication with overhead systems, 110 VDC battery systems and other control equipment.
• Experience in electrical power distribution projects and understanding of customer requirements (merit).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or elMaster (Master Concept) and experience in high voltage electrical power installations (meritorious).
• Experience in cable sizing, selectivity calculations, cabinet layouts, hole drawings, cable routes, earth line drawings and DOK80 (meritorious).
• A structured and analytical work style and a genuine interest in understanding and solving problems in electric power plants.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

You will be part of Distribution Solutions (ELDS) within ABB Electrification - a business unit that develops, sells and services low and medium voltage switchgear and control equipment for the Swedish market. Our customers are in the pulp and paper, mining, power generation, chemical, infrastructure and construction industries, among others.

We are located in ten locations in Sweden and work closely with our customers to deliver solutions that meet the electrification requirements of the future. In this role, you will be a technical leader in delivery projects of electric power facilities, often with both low and medium voltage substations in focus.
