Role and responsibilities

We at ABB Motion Service are now looking for a committed and driven HSE specialist who wants to help drive our environmental, energy and sustainability work forward in our workshops across the country.

In this role, you will be a key person in supporting the business in environmental and sustainability issues. You will be responsible for developing and managing our environmental management system, ensuring compliance with laws and requirements and being the contact person for authorities during inspections. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our local workshops, contributing to reducing our environmental impact and raising awareness of sustainability within the organization.

As an HSE specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team where you will combine operational and strategic work - from training and self-assessments to reporting and participation in internal projects. We believe that you are solution-oriented, communicative and have a strong desire to contribute to a more sustainable society.

Main tasks;

• Manage and develop the company's environmental management system (incl. ISO 14001and ISO 50001)
• Support our workshops and internal projects in environmental and sustainability issues
• Be the contact person towards authorities, municipalities and other stakeholders
• Ensure legal and requirement compliance through self-assessments and reporting
• Internal auditor for quality, work environment, environment and energy

Qualifications for the role

• Have relevant post-secondary education in environment, science, sustainable development, technology or similar, and experience of working with environmental management, preferably according to ISO 14001 and 50001
• Has at least five years of relevant professional experience and is used to working independently with responsibility for driving and developing environmental and sustainability issues in an operational business
• Has very good knowledge of current environmental legislation, regulations and handling of chemical products, and how these are applied in practice
• Know internal governing documents and management systems in the environmental field (preferably from ABB), and have experience of working with processes, instructions and contacts with authorities
• Have the ability to communicate, educate and engage others in HSE issues - both orally and in writing, in Swedish and English
• Have a B-driving license, as travel to our workshops is included in the service
