Your Role and Responsibilities

The market is growing, and we need to strengthen our team with an experienced and technically skilled senior service engineer. The position is based at our office in Karlstad. Since we collaborate nationally on major projects, the role involves travel and overnight stays.

Our mission is to help our customers increase operational reliability, availability, and profitability while reducing their environmental impact. We work throughout the entire plant lifecycle and support our customers in their efforts toward continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on low- and medium-voltage equipment.
• Work with voltage circuit breakers (400V–1000V), low-voltage circuit breakers, and relay protection.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medium-voltage circuit breakers at customer sites.
• Participate in the commissioning and testing of switchgear facilities.
• Serve as a technical specialist in complex service and maintenance assignments.
• Support the sales organization in preparing proposals, conducting technical analyses, and engaging in customer dialogues.
• Provide technical advice during upgrades, modernizations, and retrofits of power equipment.
• Serve as a key resource in major projects and share your experience with colleagues throughout the organization.
• Eventually, become part of our emergency response team.

Your Background

• You have approximately 10 years of relevant experience as a service technician, power engineer, maintenance engineer, or maintenance electrician in an industrial, energy, process, or substation environment.
• You have documented experience working independently on troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of power equipment.
• You have a solid understanding of switchgear facilities, relay protection, circuit breakers, and power systems.
• You can read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• You are accustomed to using measuring instruments and analyzing measurement data in switchgear and industrial environments.
• You have strong computer skills and experience with technical documentation and reporting.
• Experience with ABB’s power products is a plus.
• Experience with plant design, testing, and commissioning is a plus.
• Experience with technical customer dialogue and consulting is a plus.
• You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
• Class B driver’s license
