We at ABB Motor and Generator Service in the Eastern Region are now looking for a dedicated service engineer for our operations in Norrköping. As a service engineer with us, you’ll have a permanent position in a leading organization where you’ll report directly to the Technical Manager and play a central role in the business. The role involves working both at our workshop in Norrköping and on-site at our customers’ locations in the Eastern Region.
Your primary responsibilities will include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electric motors and generators. With your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, you’ll help ensure high operational reliability and customer satisfaction. The position involves daytime work and offers a varied and stimulating work environment where you’ll have the opportunity to develop and grow alongside us. Qualifications for the role
- Background as an electrician, industrial electrician, or equivalent mechanical experience combined with an interest in technology
- Experience in repair and maintenance or industrial engineering
- Strong proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Forklift and overhead crane certifications are a plus. Experience with condition monitoring/vibration measurement is a plus
- You are creative and quick-thinking, a meticulous problem-solver who puts safety first
- You take responsibility for your work, are organized, and work both independently and well with others
- A Class B driver’s license is required, as the position involves travel
