Right now we are looking for a Service Technician in electrical power to be able to start from one of our offices in Västerås, Norrköping, Stockholm with a work area mainly in Mälardalen and the surrounding area. We are an organization that is spread throughout the country so there is travel and overnight stays in the service as we collaborate on larger projects in the organization. Our mission is to provide services that increase reliability, availability and profitability and reduce the environmental impact of the customer's production facilities. We cover the entire life cycle of the plant and help our customers work with continuous improvements.

We continuously offer opportunities for training and many take place under ABB's auspices abroad in different places linked to different products.

  • Maintenance and troubleshooting: You work with both remedial and preventive maintenance of low-voltage switches (400V-1000V), relay protection and other equipment in low-voltage and switchgear plants. You will also repair and troubleshoot medium-voltage switches, both in the workshop and in the field.
  • Projects and commissioning: You will participate in the commissioning of switchgear and contribute to projects linked to upgrades and rebuilds of power equipment.
  • Sales support and preparedness: You act as technical sales support in quotation work and will eventually have the opportunity to be part of a contingency group.
  • Safety and responsibility: You share ABB's values around safety and integrity, which means that you take responsibility for your actions and show concern for both colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • You have experience as a service technician/engineer or as a maintenance electrician at industrial plants or similar operations.
  • You can read both mechanical and electrical drawings and if you are also an experienced user of measuring equipment in a switchgear environment, it is meritorious.
  • As a person, you are social, careful and always put the work environment and safety first. You have a good mood and an open and empathetic attitude towards customers and colleagues.
  • You master both English and Swedish in speech and writing.
  • As travel is sometimes included in the service, it is important that you enjoy a mobile existence
  • You like to work both mechanically and practically with screwing and fixing as well as with electrical testing and troubleshooting.
  • You have a B driving license.
  • Experience working with similar products in the past and/or ABB power products is an advantage.
  • Experience in plant design, commissioning and testing is an advantage.
