Role and Responsibilities

Right now we are looking for Service Technicians in electrical power and relay protection to Västerås with a work area mainly in Mälardalen and the surrounding area. Our mission is to provide services that increase operational reliability, availability and profitability and reduce the environmental impact of the customer's production facilities. We cover the entire life cycle of the plant and help our customers work with continuous improvements.

Responsibilities

• Configuration and testing of relay protection
• You are independently responsible for configuring relay protection in plants in distribution, infrastructure and industry, and ensuring that the configuration meets the customer's specifications and requirements. You also work with testing the functionality of the relay protection and have responsibility under FAT and SAT.
• Technical support and service
• You participate in service assignments and provide technical support to customers regarding relay protection, which includes troubleshooting, advice and action proposals.
• Work with different types of relay protection
• You work with relay protection for switchgear in the voltage range 0.4kV - 40kV, which requires broad technical competence and understanding of different system solutions.
• Sales support and quotation work
• You act as a technical resource in quotation work, especially in upgrades and rebuilds of power equipment, and contribute with expertise in relay protection.

Your background

• You have an electrical background and are used to working with circuit diagrams.
• You have solid experience with different types of relay protection.
• You have experience in testing protection with Omicron or similar test equipment, and good knowledge of the IEC 61850 protocol.
• You have experience in commissioning, testing and plant design, and know how to handle and interpret measurement data.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
• Social, careful and safety-conscious.
• Positive and empathetic in contact with both customers and colleagues.
• Thrives with a mobile work where travel is included.
• B-driving license
• It is meritorious if you have experience of ABB's portfolio and ABB's power products.
• It is meritorious if you have experience of power quality measurements in real estate and industry.
